We are looking for a tutor to design, plan, and deliver high quality sessions to improve employed adults numeracy skills. Applicants must have up to date knowledge of the Maths curriculum and relevant teaching experience within a community based adult education context.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to be flexible to deliver informal learning on a 1-2-1 or small group basis on different times of the day and on different days of the week, including evenings and weekends.
This includes in person delivery within local community settings or workplaces and/or online face to face sessions aimed at improving people's confidence and understanding of maths for work or everyday life.
In addition, the person appointed will have experience of setting individual targets and evaluating learner progress and achievements. You must evidence a good understanding of safeguarding policies and be proactive in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences and have the skills to promote Adult Education provision using a range of methods, including social media.
You must have English at Level 2 and Maths at Level 3 (or equivalent). A teaching qualification at Level 3 or higher is desirable but not essential.
